Need help with bookie talk

Ok, over/under I understand. What's the -130 / +115 thing?

Re: Need help with bookie talk

that is the money line

example: Mike Tyson Vs Lewis-- tyson +130.

That means if you bet on iron mike you risk 100 bucks to win 130.00. If it was -130 you would risk 130 to win 100. The juice is built into the money lines.

On an NFL games it works the same way.

Most books charge a vig that is -110. That means if you take the raiders at whatever pointspread you are risking 11/10 or $110 to win 100 bucks. If you don't use a point spread the money line is different. The point spread is figured into the money line.

I hope this all makes sense. Respond back if you have anymore questions.
