collusion or utter stupidity?

at the final table yesterday of a 30+3 MTT on Party, 10 players left.

Stacks:

UTG- 35K+ (possible colluder)
UTG+1-30K+
CO-3185 (possible colluder)

blinds 750/1500

UTG raises to 3000, UTG+1 calls, CO raises all-in to 3185, UTG thinks for 3 seconds and folds, UTG+1 calls.

the table starts chirping at the Villain who folded and he doesn't respond and two players say they are reporting it. it didn't die down for at least another orbit.

who folds this for 185 more chips? is this possible?

it seems very possible to me when i thought about it after the hand was done and thought it was fairly clever. CO has JJ, they are talking about the hand and UTG knows his buddy is pushing so he just wants to put some extra chips in there in case someone else comes along (plus it gets the action started) but doesn't want to force him all in so he min raises. UTG+1 calls, so CO of course pushes and this is where he folds and allows the Jacks to get heads up to triple up. now i only thought this would be possible if they were colluding, but it sounded possible in my head.

This has to be collusion. NO ONE folds for 185 more. Not even the worst donkey.

Seems suspicious, but the min better may have been scared of an all in bet and did not realize the size of the push and folded out of reflex. I would have reorted it if it happend in my game.

This could have been a misclick on UTG's part or perhaps he had garbage cards and was just trying to pick up the blinds and mistook the all in for something more than t185. Or perhaps he doesn't know the rules about reraising and was afraid that the t185 reopened the betting.

It could be collusion of course, but it would be difficult to prove.

it's online. it can be as simple as fluffy jumping on the keyboard.

I'd report it.

Probably not, seeing as if two guys "planned" on getting to the final table together, how often would it happen?

All the same, I'd report it to err on the side of caution.

If it was an SnG I'd go ballistic.

Yeah, but isn't the original raiser now giving you a bunch of dead money to play for heads-up? Doesn't sound TOO bad to me. Usually they'd want to force you out of the hand by squeezing you between them with a raise re-raise that leaves the betting open for you to get caught in the middle and forced to fold anything but a premium holding.
