Who is the best?
 

In my opinion--other than Stu Unger-- Minh Nguyen is the greatest poker player around. Look at the amount of finishes in the money at the WSOP and consider the amount of players he has taught how to play and their accomplishments.

Just wanted to see what everyone else has to say.

i also think that stu unger is the best player around except for the fact that he's dead

You may have Men Nguyen and Minh Nguyen confused. Most people don't even know what Minh looks like, but they all know Men "the master."

Both are very good players though.

Daniel Negreanu has thoroughly impressed me lately. I used to hate the guy for his goofy laugh and table antics, but now I see how good he really is and now I find him some what funny. The plaza tourney basically sums it up for me, every move he put on Deeb was just great. Oh by the way, I know he's canadian but does anyone know if Daniel grew up speaking a different language? His mom definitely sounds like english is not her first language, very thick accent?

I read all of Daniel's posts on fullcontactpoker.com (from the picture on the website you can't tell who it is) and really liked what I read about/by him, then I was disappointed to find out he was that goofy guy with the bad hair.

Men the master has been accused of collusion a lot by a lot of players in the past. It has come up so often its hard not to beleive, especially when theres at least 2 situations on tape of him softplaying or being softplayed by people he has been accused of colluding with.

He is a funny dude and seems to be a good player to me, and I hope that the allegations of his cheating are false, but even without that I don't think he is the best.

I think the guys playing in the 1k-2k and 2k-4k mixed game at the bellagio are probably the best all around players in the world. Brunson, Forrest, Ivey, Negreanu, Harman, Todd Brunson, Lederer, Greenstein, Reese, etc.
