Set of Aces, Let me know what you think

Game $1-2 NL on Doyles Room - 9 Players

I have only played about 15 hands at this table, and I have I just joined this site, so I don't have any real reads on anybody yet, haven't seen anything too crazy yet in the first 15 hands.

Hero($230) is on the button with A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Folded to MP who limps
Folds to Hero who raises to $10
SB and MP call. Pot $30

Flop: A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Checked to Hero who bet $22, both players call. Pot $95

Turn: 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Checked to Hero who bets $50, both players call.
River 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Checked around

Final Pot $245

Please comment on every street. Should I have bet more on the turn, and what do you do on the river after both players check.

Will post results later

Bet a little more on the flop.

I would probably bet something on the river as well, but check is ok.

Since you hold the A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] you can probably make a river bet without too much fear of a push from a lower flush or a straight. You get value from all under sets and 2-pair hands that are likely.

I thought about this. The reason I didn't value bet the river was that was concerned one of them was calling me down with a smaller flush. I thought it was unlikely the 10 was out there considering the preflop raise, and the post flop action considering there was a flush on the board. I agree that I wouldn't get played back at, but but with 2 people calling me I was concerned about a flush so I checked.

Why check the turn, I was concerned I didn't bet enough. I have Top set, and nut flush draw? Not necessarily disagreeing i just want to understand your reasoning.
