Is 6/12 dead at the Borgata? Also played 20/40 for the first time

I was in the Borgata Monday 12/19 from about 2:30 PM to 5:30 AM. During that whole time not once did they have a 6/12 game running. They tried to call one at least once but I really didn't feel like leaving the juicy 20/40 game :8) I've wondered many times why they even keep 6/12. It seems to me eliminating it and the 3/6 and replacing with 4/8 would make alot of sense.

Also of note, it was my first time playing 20/40, that action is sick. 3bet the turn with just TPTK? SURE!!! Of course a couple 80/160 players lagging it up dosn't hurt the game either :0) Second hand I get KK in the SB and coldcap against 2 middle position players. Flop comes Ace high, I lead out the flop and turn, river gets checked through. Opponent shows QQ and MHIG. BB then says she folded TT (for a turned set). Asian chick at the other end (with at least 3 grand in front of her) exclaims that it is an autocall because of pot odds.

Well compare this to 10/20 where quite often they won't even make it two bets.

At 10-20 I capped QQ on a 446 2tone flop multiway and I got a guy calling me down with trip 4's king kicker heh.

6 12 there blows because they have to make change so much and it is really slow. I think 10 20 is better and more popular for this reason.

They don't use $2 chips? 6/12 at Canterbury plays very quickly like this.

The 10 game is better in many ways, but 6/12 is a nice stepping stone for those who aren't rolled for the 10 game. Yes, the 6 game is slow as hell with the change making, but with so many old weaktight nits playing in it, the game ends up being at about their speed anyhow.

Unfortunately chip denominations (and colors) are mandated by law, so no $2 chips. Hence why the trop spreads 7.5/15 using $2.5 chips.

this is rather surprising...i haven't been to the borg in about 6 months, and i'm making a trip out there in a few weeks. the 6/12 game used to be great, and i'm very shocked to hear that they have problems getting a game going....

Everytime I'm at the Borgata the 6/12 is running. Usually one table during the week.
