dell inspiron 6000

How do you adjust the brightness of the screen? It always brightens when it's plugged in but when I use the battery it gets all dim. Anyone know how to make the screen brighter? Thanks.

Hold down the FN button. It is on the right on the control button, left side of the keyboard. Then you can use the up and down keys to adjust.
