Hows my line?

3/6 Full, I'm in BB w/QJs

Button limps, sb completes, I raise, both calls

Flop KQ9 2 clubs, I have spades

I bet both call

Turn Jh

I check button bets, sb folds, I call

River 3 (not a club)

I bet button raises I fold.

What you think?

I don't like it. Bet/calling the turn and then check/folding the river costs the same amount without offering a freecard.

bet/call the turn and check/fold the river. Like NR said you don't give free cards on the turn by betting and by calling the turn raise you are able to foil free showdown plays.

We should fold the river even if Villian just calls the turn?

bet/fold or bet/call the river depending on trickiness of villain

Re: Hows my line?

Why do I want to bet the turn and call a raise? The pot isnt' large enough for me to draw to my 4 outter. On top of that, he's likely to bet many hands I'm ahead of that he's also willing to fold if I bet like a bluff or bottom pair. A king will likely not check behind here either and I'm not too worried about giving a free card.

I bet the river b/c if he was bluffing/betting a weak hand on the turn, he's checking behind on the river. If he's betting the river, I'm almost certainly toast but I the pot is big enough where calling could be correct. All in all on the river its a classic situation of he's willing to call more hands that I beat than bluff more hands than I don't making betting/folding to a raise superior to checking and calling a bet.

why do you think you're behind on the turn? when/if you get raised, are you certain you're behing?

Re: Hows my line?

I'm very certain that I'm behidn if I get raised on the turn. Theres a 1 card strait on the board that has to look pretty scary to my opponent as well as me. For him to raise me here, he's almost certaintly gotta have the strait. I could also get raised by KJ or KQ and I don't want that situation to happen either. I want to get showdown as cheaply as possible here.
