Hey guys, did I play this hand right?

So I was in the WSOP and I had a pair of queens on the river, and the board was J22KQ and my opponent bet T16000! Do I call or fold?

Seriously, who else thinks that the time the WSOP wastes on all those little "nuts" segments and the visual abortion known as "hold 'em or fold 'em" could be used to show us at least 3-4 more hands of real poker? I got pretty sick of all the utterly ridiculous examples they give us to try to make sense of. The lack of information they give us is ridiculous. I know they're not trying to make it so that only poker gurus can figure it out, but they could at LEAST give us:

How aggressive they are.
How big the pot is.
What the action has been.

Do you think with all the internet whining this season that they will attempt to shape up? Or are the ratings just too good right now?

The hold'em or fold'em segments are 30 second commercials. Not enough time for a detailed recap of the hand and players. Also, the less in-depth poker analysis the casual player is exposed to on ESPN, the more profitable I expect MY sessions to be. So let them think that hold'em or fold'em is as tough as it gets.

On a side note, I heard John Smoltz interviewed on TV during the NLDS. John Smoltz's voice kinda sounds like Chris Ferguson's. John Smoltz should sit in a fridge and discuss baseball. That is all.

If they had a PPV version of all televised WSOP events with comments from Howard Lederer or Phil Ivey and others, would you pay $29.95 per 4 hour commercial free semi-edited episode?

if they only edited out the hands which were donkably playable, such as people folding to the BB. And it depends on the commentary. If someone popped out even one ex-wife joke, I would strangle the guy who sold it to me.

Dude, don't you understand? This is like saying, "Seriously, if they cut all the ads out of everything, there'd be so much more content in my programs." Unfortunately, basic cable and network television relies on ads to pay the bills. The stupid hold 'em or fold 'em segment is just a paid advertisement for Milwaukee's Best.
