The Bar Stool Pundits, week 6

Confession: I am a Bar Stool Pundit. Half the influence on these picks is that my first impression of the line is how great it is. So I admit, I'm a Bar Stool Pundit. The only BSP fade all year that I actually liked was Dallas +3. For all the rest I felt nearly sick to my stomach putting money on it, especially Miami in week 3 and the 9ers last week.

So this week, I'm nervous because the biggest BSP pick of the week is forcing me to violate one of my main rules:

Natedogg's NFL betting rule #1: Never bet on or against New Orleans.

So...

Atlanta -5.5 at New Orleans Looks like Vick is going to start, so New Orleans has absolutely no chance. Time to back up the truck! The Bar Stool Pundits are nearly as excited about this game as they were about Philly at Dallas, which was probably the most popular lopsided BSP pick of the year.

As of now, Atlanta is the clear frontrunner with the BSPs. Some possibles that might show up tomorrow morning include Carolina, Pittsburgh, New England and as always, Indy.

I will be taking the following bets at this time:

Take New Orleans +5.5

Always look forward to these.

The Bar Stool Pundits would make a great name for a band.

This one actually makes me sicker than San Fran last week. I felt like, hell, anything can happen with a new QB. No such luck with NO's interception machine playing tomorrow.

Still...

I would have thought the Seabags -9 or so, over dreadful Houston would have been the BSP capper!

Seattle & Indy certainly being the other two BSP picks in my opinion.

it looks ugly, but i'm locked in on the Rams and the Saints.

Wagerline says most onesided this week are

Pittsburg 70%
Cinci 71%
Atlanta 76%

Indy is only 54%-46% over the Rams - possibly a ton of sharps on the side of the Rams?

suprisingly Seattle/Houston is "only" 63%-37%, there are eight games that are more lopsided than that game (only Min vs Chi, Cle vs Bal, NYG vs Dal, Indy vs StL are less one-sided).
