QQ with A on board

What should I have done when an A came on the flop? should I have called down or folded?

Reads? I'd fold at least the turn if not the flop.

This is a drawless flop. He's not raising with a flush or str8 draw. I think that you can safely fold to the reraise. Reads would be helpful though as davelin said.

I think you can safely fold the flop to the 3-bettor. If you would like to take a turn, go ahead, but be prepared to fold there.

The flopraise is ok, but you can savely fold the turn UI.

a common mistake new players make is going too far with pocket pairs when there is an overcard to the pair on the board. The standard play would be to raise the flop but when he 3-bets you call and check/fold the turn UI (unimproved).

Calling down like you did here is read dependent. If villan is unknown you should check/fold in this position. If you have a specific read on him saying he's overaggressive then sure see showdown.

Depending on any reads, I might fold to the flop 3-bet. If not then, I'm out on the turn.

With a flop so ragged, I doubt Villain is on any sort of draw, so you are almost definitely behind. I would call the flop re-raise, hoping either that a Queen hits or that Villain checks the turn for some reason (players make strange moves sometimes), allowing me a free look at the river.

I would fold the turn. The pot is not quite big enough to justify calling all the way down to the river with a probable 2-outer.

With no reads I fold the turn.
