Boring preflop question

I would say the big blind is one of the better 5/10 players on Party (that's what I thought before the hand. He played it pretty bad). He is aggressive, so his reraise is not only AA (he had 99 here). I think he respects my play but not more than that. I'm not going to make a play if I miss the flop. 1K stacks. Call this reraise?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

UTG+2 ($1044)
MP1 ($0)
MP2 ($1097)
MP3 ($973.50)
Hero ($1010)
Button ($667.55)
SB ($121.25)
BB ($1646)
UTG ($336)
UTG+1 ($1261)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $5.
5 folds, Hero raises to $30, 2 folds, BB raises to $80,

$60 to call. Hero??

Then fold 64s.

Yes. call. It's not like your hand is K10 and don't know wtf to do if a K pops. You are either folding the flop or raising when you hit your hand. Flop 2 pair and stack him. Or whiff and lose 50 bucks.

Re: Boring preflop question

I don't play nearly this high but because this guy is aggressive I think you should fold. You were planning to be in position against most any caller so you could decide what to do then(likely being checked to) but given he rr'ed you pre it increases the chance that he will continue bet regardless on the flop.

Your plan backfired so just dump it and wait for a situation that works.

I would call for sure. Even Bob Ciaffone thinks so!

Fold.

Also, if you raise to $30, and BB raises to $80, it's only $50 to call, not $60.

The better the player, the less your implied odds are, which are 20-1 at best. Fold.

Stacks nowhere near deep enough.

Great point which I have to think of more often.
