Should threads like this stoxtrader be locked?
 

I locked this thread. In my opinion, the original topic (How much is a db worth?/ Is db creator's hourly rate a good pricing mechanism?) was legitimate. However, it quickly turned into "I'll sell my PT DB to anyone for the huge discount of 50% off my hourly rate, its around 100k hands of limit holdem from like april of this year." It looked like the post was purely spam and several people complained, so I locked it. Is this out of line? Stoxtrader is complaining that posts about commercial software is permitted. What is the general policy on commercial posts like this?

I'm aware of that thread. How does it answer my question of whether stox's thread advertising his db is spam? [img]/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]
