Suggestions for Stateline, NV poker games this weekend? (tourney)

I'm going to S. Lake Tahoe this weekend for a little gambling trip and figured I might as well try at least a small tournament if they have any going. Do you guys know of casinos in that area that have good poker tournaments? I was looking to spend $30-40 on a buy-in, so do I have any chance at that amount, or will I be forced to settle on a larger buy-in?

I think you will have to go to Reno.
I think there is a Saturday tourney downtown.
Google Reno casinos.

Haha maybe I should have, but it's a little too late now since I already had the room booked in S Lake Tahoe. I'm actually trying to play a little poker if it's possible but that wasn't the point of the trip.

Hmm so I called up all the casinos I could and only found that Harvey's and Horizon Casino have poker rooms currently. Lake Side Inn/Casino will be done building theirs around Nov 14th, but that doesn't help me.

The guys I talked to at the poker rooms were both very helpful and patient with all my questions lol, so at least that's a good sign (since this is actually my first time to Stateline). I'd like your opinions on what sounds good to you guys, so let me make another post with all the details they gave me.

So I'm there Sat and Sunday. Horizon offers a $48+$7 NLHE tourney on Sat and a $28+$7 with $20 rebuys (don't know how much they take out of the rebuy). The guy only knew for sure that the Sat has 12 min blind levels and the Sun has 15 min blind levels; with Sundays starting with 1500T chips and 25/50 blinds that double every level.

So this is like 5 hands per blind level? Is this normal to expect at such a small buy in? Is this just a crap shoot mixed w/ a little skill? Is a 15-25% house cut acceptable? I'm used to 10%, but that's online.
