If I have deposited via neteller - can I then request a check from partypoker?

You can request a cheque but the amount you deposited via Neteller will be deposited back to your account first and the balance will be sent by cheque.
Ex: You deposited $50 via Neteller and you are requesting a $125 cheque -> $50 will be put back in the Neteller account and Party will send you $75 by cheque.

I was able to get several cheques for any amount (up to 3K each) regardless of where the original money came from (some xfer, some Neteller). But, this was of course after months of significant play between deposit and cheque requests.

out of curiosity, how long does it take a check to reach you in nevada?

It takes about 8 - 10 days after the withdrawal for a cheque to arrive here.

This is absolute BS. 100% false.

I've made every deposit though neteller and every withdrawal by check, they are totally interdependent of one another.
