Poker near San Diego??
 

Just wondering if there are poker rooms in and around San Diego. If so which are decent to go to. I'll be staying in the "downtown" area near the convention center.

You can get the answer with search or even google. Short answer tons. Slightly longer in the North County Oceans 11, Pechanga and Harrah's Rincon. Down south Sycuan, Viejas, Barona, Lucky Lady, Palomar Card Club, Village Club and likely others I'm not thinking of.

I've played Barona and Viejas. I prefer Viejas.

I played at Barona last September and was favorably impressed. It is a little drive out of SD as I think all the Indian casinos are, but it seemed to be well managed and spread a nice mix of games. They will bring food to the tables as well. If I were a SD resident I would be a regular player there.
The area around Barona looks like a scene from the old time westerns. Big boulders all around.
