Bankroll For a day

Everybody says you should have 300x bankroll to play a certain level But what if you only were going to play for a day and could easily replace this bank roll.

How much of a bank roll should you have for 1 session , say 8 hours or so .

25-50 bets. I'd say 50 to be on the safe side.

If it is a limit game I will buy-in for around 25 to 30 big bets. I like to always have another 25 or so big bets in my wallet just to feel comfortable if I start getting short.

In a no limit game like a $500 max game I will buy-in for $500 and have two more buy-ins in case something drastic happens.

I'd presonally never sit in a game without at least one buyin (25BB) I'd like to have another in my pocket as well...

About 40BB should do, if you leave when you drop 30BB, you will always have at least 10BB on the table which is important so you never miss bets by having insufficent chips on the table.

Bankroll is not the same as buy-in. 25 big bets should do you just fine for one sitting

20BB is just fine for a buyin, but you should have another 20BB in reserve too, especially if you plan to play an 8 hr session.

20 BB??? I think it depends on the game...This might be fine for a tight 5/10 game but if the OP is planning on playing a loose goose 3/6 game where a few casino employees on break are trying to lose their days' tokes, 20BB is just a couple of blown AKs' from spending the rest of the day doing something else...
