Le Checkraise with KK
 

1/2 NL. Villain sat down a few hands ago. I have $200, he has $120.
I get KK in the SB. Two limpers, and villain raises to $5. Folded to me and I raise to $13. Everybody calls.

Pot is $50. Flop is 679 rainbow. I check, limpers check, and villain bets $12. I raise to $50. Limpers fold, villain calls.

So the pot is now $150, villain has $45 left. Turn is 8, completing rainbow and making a 4-straight. Hero..?

Two questions: Is this an autopush? And what do you put villain on?

Why not put him allin on the flop? I would've led for about the pot, then put him allin on the turn no matter what hit (though I would've winced inwardly if it'd been an ace). Sorry to not answer the questions you actually asked, I just don't know what I'd do in that situation as I wouldn't have gotten there the way you did.

I would have raised more preflop, then raised more on the flop. That said, I go ahead and put him all-in here - at least make him pay if he's over-valued AK. If he already has a set, hooray for him, I don't think you're getting away from it. More likely JJ, QQ, or also KK.

Actually its a good thing. If he has JJ hell rationalize a gutshot possibility into his call of your all-in.

Yes. At first I was distressed by the 8 on the turn, but I thought it was very unlikely he would raise pf and bet the flop with a gutshot draw. The only plausible hands I'm behind are TT or AA. This assumes he's not tricky or maniacal enough to raise with 66, 77, 88, 99, or 89. Most of those hands would have pushed on the flop, anyway.

Anyway, I figure I'm not going to fold if he pushes, and he could call with plenty of losing hands, so I push and he calls. River is a blank, and he shows...

His river call wasn't that bad, since he had 3 outs to win and 8 outs to split, and was getting 4:1 odds to call.

I bet 30 to 35 on the turn, the rest on the river, you're certainly not going to fold no matter what hits, but you don't know what he's going to do, he could be afraid of the 4 straight now and just be really dumb.

However, with that in mind I think he has 78 or 89.
