Why no raise on the flop?

why are you cold calling the flop? raising would make the hand much easier to play, say to 600. i dont mind your flop play if done for a strategic purpose but this seems simply weak passive

actually, my first thought is that at least he didnt check raise the turn, because then youd probably be pot stuck and very often behind, with him leading again you have some options. with a read on the player's style you could often dump it here and wait for a better spot.

without a read and having just called the flop i dont see how you can fold the turn, there are too many hands that stab at this sort of board, or he even could think he has the best hand with a weaker hand like tptk or JJ, just stick it in there

If I raise flop, what hand is calling me that I beat? Even if JJ, AT and JT would've called a raise, they are drawing very slim OOP. (EDIT: meaning it's not THAT bad to give them free cards)

I'm really confused because I never have seen a line like the villain's here. Usually an overbet has meant significant strength in the games I've played. I thought T9 seemed likely.
