What kind of table read did you have on this other guy? Every draw hit except the one that he had.

Re: massive 5 10 PLO pot do you call here?

Since the game is shorthanded, as most of them are at the bigger plo tables on UB, and since the opponent never on the flop or turn acted like he had a hand other than a draw or an overpair, then yes I would call but I wouldn't like it. His river bet did have the smell of a busted draw, but some players here even headsup would also slowplay the 98 straight and see if the flush came or the board paired.

However this situation on the river would have been much easier if you had correctly checked behind on the turn, taking a free card, because of the possibility of draw vs. draw or that he had a set and feared an 98 straight, and because of the flush draw present. Had he had a flush draw as well, then his hand probably would have been a slight favorite on the flop. Plus you also avoid being checkraised off your hand. Checking behind was also the play that best preserved your power of position since he then wouldn't have been able to set himself in on the river without fear of being raised and put the decision on you.

I have played him a few times this week and he showed me this same line a few times...preflop raise, bet pot on flop, check turn when he misses then bet everything at river trying to move you off a hand. I have picked him off a few times this week with this line. I actually felt great about the call and would make it against him 100% of the time, just wondered if anyone else would.

I have a queesy recollection of you doing this last time you came here. What's the point of posting a hand which is *entirely* based on a read, which you then don't share with us? As Bluff said its very marginal, and probably doesnt matter either way whether you call or fold. Nearly every possible draw got there after all. There is no way, based on the information you gave us, anyone sane would feel "great" about the call.

If you want to mast.ur.bate in public, there are other forums for this kind of thing.

You asked for a difficult decision by betting weakly on the flop and turn.

Since you asked to be bluffed, I guess you call, but its not exactly where you want to be on this hand.

what he said - and no i dont think this was a great call i think its one of the few winning lucky chances you had. to be fair post a few where you call with sh*t and get a pot bet crammed so far into your anus you cant walk a straight line

you know - on second thought my comments may seem a little harsh, however i can post 10 hands from tonight where i made a questionable bet or call and still won a huge hand.

its annoying to have someone post a hand that they really are not look for analysis - just justification
