Re: Lost (but RAISING!)

I like your approach on third. I think I take the freebie on fourth. You might have the best hand, but especially with a dead Eight, I wouldn't know what to do if someone had the audacity to call you.

I'd fold fifth. You have junk. Presumably, the other guy has something to call you on fourth and bet out on fifth. What, I don't know, but it probably beats a pair of Eights. Perhaps he decided to slow-play a set of Fives. I'm guessing that he stayed in with a three-flush and the Queen paired him. Anyway, call me weak-tight, but I let this go.

I'd definitely take the free card on sixth. On seventh, I think the raise is OK, but it is a little dubious, because the other guy could easily have a low. I think that will be the case more often than he will be value-betting Queens-up or some such.

I'd chicken-call fourth.

I'd post this in a different thread.

Re: Lost (but RAISING!)

Y'know, hand-reading has never really been my forte, but this one is pretty straightforward. It's about the only thing that makes sense. Well, I think that if he was going to call on fourth, he should have bet, and he probably shouldn't have played a three-flush with two spades out, but a three-flush is the hand that comes the closest to making sense.
