Call or Fold?

Party 34K ($30)

228 left pays 220 (near the bubble).

Blinds are 400/800

MP villian is LAG, LP villain is TAG, Hero is somewhere in between.

Hero has 4200 after posting BB and has Q5 Hearts.

MP (T7,000) miniraises to T1600, LP (T12000) calls, hero calls??

(T5,200) Flop 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Hero checks, MP checks, LP goes all in for ~T10,000.

Hero??

Re: Call or Fold?

bump.

I thought villain's bet was way too big to be a real hand. After some consideration I called. Is this reasonable or do I just have a bubblicious death wish? Same question for the initial call?

Fold preflop, fold the flop. Don't bump an hour into a thread.

Man I would have folded fo sho. I doubt I would have called the raise. My 2 cents.

I'm getting 5.5:1 to call the initial miniraise, isn't any two cards good here?

Not for 1/5th your stack, and a min-raiser.

And I'm not sure how you can ever dream of calling the flop bet. I think if you had AKJ or spades then MAYBE, but you have 2nd pair, no spade, and very well are drawing very thin.

Re: Call or Fold?

Well ATF I'm getting ~2.2:1 on my money and only have to be 30% in the hand, and I doubt LP is holding a 9. MP will fold because he has a good stack unless he happens to have flopped a monster (~5%).

The flush with a high spade probably doesn't stack off in last position.

I'd really like to know why it's an unreasonable call? I am not saying I disagree, I want to be convinced.

My stack sucks too.
