I was going to suggest that, but given that he wants to tell the kids mother, it's obvious he'd have no idea wtf he's talking about and couldn't have an honest fully informed conversation with the kid.

Just as a side note, I had one weed-related conversation with one of my uncles when I was about that age. It consisted of him telling me about the time he went to a Wailers concert at some small venue and him and his friends ended up smoking an enormous J with the band after the show.
