I pretty much don't slow play flopped underfulls because it's a ready made cold deck for whoever flopped trips and I'd like to play for stacks.

I'd put this in the categorie: Horrible flops to slowplay.

I raise this preflop most of the time, but check is totally fine.

Definitely raise on the flop. One reason to just call is to get Button in, but its more important to build a big pot right away. And if button has a flushdraw he might call anyway.

Everyone already said to raise the flop, I agree.

Assuming you won, you should send a thank you card to villain for double potting the turn which allowed you to get it all in.

I'm anticipating, "villain flipped up 44"...
...and it will be glorious

Hey
I raise this flop nearly every time. It will look like a steal (who would raise trip 6s or a flopped boat?) and it also puts more in the pot to help you extract more on later streets.

That did not turn out to be necessary in this case, but in other cases, raising the flop to ~$15, gives him the chance to (a) call with overcards or (b) call/re-raise with a 6.

If he re-raises with the 6, all the better, and if he flat calls with the over cards (or a str8 draw or something, then by raising the flop give him an $11 call into a $31 pot (or about 3-1 odds -- which can be quite enticing.)

Now, a 1/2 - 2/3 pot bet for value is into a $46 pot instead of a turn with a $20 pot.

You essentially double the money you can make on the turn. Perhaps more if he hits the turn or the river.
