1000$ PokerRoom bonus???
 

Just got an e-mail from PokerRoom since I haven't logged in there in..well..forever.

They say they've put 1000$ in my account, and all I have to do is play off 4000 player points by December 4th.

I play 3/6 and 5/10SH. Is this possible? How many hours is this? Did anyone else get this e-mail?

without doing any math I'm 99.99% certain you will pay well over $1k in rake doing this. But hey, free $ (with bonus restrictions) is free $ (with bonus restrictions)

What's the easiest legal way (not chip dumping) to clear this real fast?. I was thinking playing as a poker sticky?.

Not by a whole lot though: if you're playing full 5-max tables, $1k in rake is 3500 points. It requires substantially less than $1k in full ring.

I hope they send me one of these.

Hmm a poker sticky. It would be fun to take that $1000 and play some high stakes to see if you could run it up a bit.

Somehow I have a feeling it doesn't work like that.

And who cares if you'll pay $1000 in rake? It would be like playing WITHOUT rake.

STOP!

These e-mails are the unfortunate result of a “division by 100” error in an e-mail template. The numbers (both the dollar amount and the Player Points) in all of these e-mails should be divided by 100. As I’m typing this a correction and apology e-mail is in the works.

So, to summarize:
- $10, not $1,000
- 40 Player Points, not 4,000 Player Points.
- Small promotion, not totally enormous promotion.

Oh, and it’s now 4 days left.
