I'm not actually sure what month in 2001 Hannibal was released, but I remember specifically that in the one scene where the Italian cop is checking the intraweb for bad guys, they show "Usama bin Laden" on the 10 most wanted list.

I think there's an episode of the X-files that shows him in the top 10 too - and that was well before 2001.
