Re: please explain trifecta?
It's when you check-raise your opponent on the flop, turn and river.

Re: please explain trifecta?
this is how it works in horse racing:
pick first two horses to finish in exact order: "EXACTA" or "PERFECTA" pick first two horses to finish in either order: "QUINELLA" pick first three horses to finish in exact order: "TRIFECTA" pick first four horses to finish in exact order: "SUPERFECTA" |
Re: please explain trifecta?
I saw a Superfecta hand posted a little while ago, with a limp-reraise PF and CRs on all streets.
Now that you know what it is, don't do it |
Re: please explain trifecta?
if i remember i think it was Ed Miller that discouraged the pursuit of the trifecta because the point of learning the 2+2 "methodology" is to maximize your winnings. i don't think trifecta is the best way to go about that.

Re: please explain trifecta?
Exactly. There was a plague of people posting so called "trophy" hands, where they would pull off some celebrated move, like the trifecta, and boast about it. Bottom line is, its not going to win you more money. Don't do it.

Trying to play hands like "trophy" hands consistantly is bad, of course. But getting frisky once in a while isn't going to hurt. |
