Final Pot: t20725

Results in white below:
UTG+1 has 4c Kc (flush, king high).
CO has 9d 9h (one pair, nines).
Outcome: UTG+1 wins t20725.

WTF can I do, his call is pretty bad IMHO. I know if I move in he is going to call. The only good thing I can take away is that I had them both pegged for what they had. I thought the all-in was like JJ, and I thought UTG +1 had a flush draw. With all the money in the pot, it was a god awful fold, but I didn't want to lose all my chips on a coinflip. I hate his call here, he is risking why too much on a flush draw, had he folded, it's an insta-call for me. I also think I needed to bet more on the flop and preflop...

Hellmuth would be proud, I threw away the best hand and knew it...

Not necessarily so bc they had REALLY deep stacks at that moment event compared tot he raise he didnt commit even 9% of his stack...there are some who will play 22 like this, provided they believe the original raiser wont reraise...which of course is a huge assumption but the implied odds 3 ways with postion deep stacks all are HUGE. I m not advocating playing 22 here just alerting you to the way some players think about pp.

I knew he didn't have a pair, he would have moved in himself with a set since there were 2 clubs on the board. I'd expect him to move in with AA and KK with the respective club (or without it). The right play was to move in, but I didn't want to go broke that hand. It was right after the 1st break, and both our stacks were deep. We are essentially playing a coinflip but with the money already in the pot, my fold was pretty bad. If I flat called on the flop and the club hits, I've committed too much to throw my hand away. If a king or ace hit I'd have a hard time laying down as well, but EV wise, the right thing to do was move in. I cost myself less than 20% of my stack, but I should have been willing to commit 100%...
