Collusion between players?

Question for the board:

I have never had this situation happen to me and was wanting some input on whether this is collusion or not and what I should do if anything.

Late stages of a $100 sng, 4 players remain and blinds are 500/1000. I am utg and push allin with the shortest stack, next to act folds then SB raises to 2000, BB raises all in and types in that he has KK, SB responds that he has JJ. BB tells him he better fold, he does. Cards turn face up and BB has KK. Is there a more blatant type of collusion among players? Should I turn them in to the site?

As a sidenote, I sucked out on the BB and won the pot and then ended up taking both of them out in successive hands and winning the tourney.

Anyone had a similar situation happen to them?

yes, it's blatant collusion. Saying what your hand is makes your hand dead. Sites should not allow player chat with a player all in.

1.)It absolutely is against the rules
2.)Trying to get the site administrators to do anything about it is a complete waste of time

They can't do anyting. You do realize how easy it is to manipulate a hand history, right?

I believe the site would have their own copy. I think all you would need is the tourney #

Uhm, the site has a copy of every hand history themselves. Just refer the tourney and hand #.

Stars support has a great reputation, but the one collusion issue I've presented to them (three people agreed to blind me out when I got disconnected on the bubble thanks to a thunderstorm) is still outstanding, and this after three emails and about three weeks. The chat log is as clear as possible, but I keep getting vague statements about "due diligence" and investigations being necessary whenever I try and contact them about it.

I was in a hand that was a bit different on Ultimate Bet once.

Players A & B have been chatting with each other non stop the whole game.

Player A: I have a straight, do you think he has a flush?

Player B: folds & doesn't say anything.

I reported it to UB.

They sent me an email the next day saying they had found evidence of collusion and cancelled both players accounts.

I would report what happened in your game if I were you.

yes this is collusion, email all the pertinent information like tourmanet history hand # etc. and they will likely ban the players chat and give them a warning.

It is important to act on things as blatent as this so that others do not suffer at the hands of cheaters.
