SB Starting Requirements (Basic Question)
I'm a loose goose in the small blind. This is a leak. I want to tighten up.
Can anyone suggest a good range of hands for unraised pots with one or two limpers? I'm mainly interested in starting requirements for the 5/10 blind strucutre. |
Re: SB Starting Requirements (Basic Question)
Anything you would play on the Button:
Any pair, Any two Broadway, 98s+ for 1 limper, 65s+ for 2 limpers, maybe T9o if your opponents are bad. |
Re: SB Starting Requirements (Basic Question)
The more interesting question is what hands to play in a raised pot.

The most interesting question is which is to be master-that's all.

Re: SB Starting Requirements (Basic Question)
Of course, this is one of those "it depends" questions. Against predictable limpers you should play more hands than against unpredictable ones. If the BB is aggressive, then you should play tigher as he will often raise 1 limper and a weak complete from the SB. Also, against 1 limper, you should be raising more yourself. As a default though, you should at least call 1 limper with something like:
22/A2s/K6s/Q8s/J9s/T8s/97s/86s/76s/65s/54s/A8o/K9o/QTo/JTo. More or less. With 2 or more limpers I would add a few more suited hands. Lost Wages |
