98s multiway, big draw

Ok, so this one came up recently and I was at a bit of a loss as to how play a few of these streets. I'm pretty sure my flop 3-bet is pretty bad, but some voice told me to keep jamming.

Comments on all streets appreciated and encouraged.

I'm capping that river, the rest looks pretty good to me.

With 6 players in on the flop, and an inside SF draw, your equity edge is huge. Get as much money in as possible.

Turn seems pretty obvious.

Jam that river. Nothing has changed for you since the turn, but could have made someone else two-pair or a straight or something else. With 4 people likely to see showdown, cap for value.

Flop three bet is standard considering the number of opponents - every penny you put in the pot makes you money.

Jam the river.

What makes you so sure? You have top pair, a flush draw and a gutshot straight draw with a miracle out to boot. Your equity is huuuuuuuuge. I would cap this flop with a diamond draw with no pair and no straight outs with this many players in.

thanks so far to those who have responded for the feedback.

I'm not exactly sure why I said in my OP that I thought the flop 3-bet was "pretty bad," but I think it's because I'm usually a little iffy on when I should jam a hand like that and when I should just call. In this situation I think what led me to think it was bad was my awful position.

i think deep down though I knew that 3-betting would be better, though, which is why i probably went with it.

as for the river bet-raise-3bet.. does anybody worry slightly that somebody might have gotten cute with a bigger flush on the turn and just called (this is party low limit HE, after all)? I'm asking this in regards to maybe just calling the river as opposed to 4-betting which many are advocating - is this a clear river cap?

thanks again.

It's possible, but you have 3 people in there calling, and it's not worth missing those bets.

Yes. I just call the river. Even if you have the best hand, calling gets an overcall from UTG, possibly.

At Party low-limit HE many players are unfamiliar with the concept of playing positive-equity draws so strongly on the flop. Anyone with an eight probably believes that they have drawn out on your overpair or set on the river. I cap here and expect to win.

Oh my god, cap the river! They have straights, they're calling.
