NFL Opener (NE/OAK)

Posting this because many of my friends who bet smaller units have been going nuts trying to figure out who to take on the sportsbook.com free bet. I'm leaning towards taking New England -7.5 if i bet the game, but I will probably be buying the 1/2 point at least. Thoughts?

If you are going to bet it, buy the half point. Does the free bet have to be used on this game? There have got to be better spots than this one. Especially since you would be buying the half point to avoid the loss and push, as oppossed to avoid the push and get the win. Or maybe everyboy will jump on the raiders and moss tomorrow night and the line will drop, but i doubt it.

p.s. The point of my post? If you can bet another game for free, pass on this one.

oh i know man, i hate this line but its just a free bet on this game and it has to be on the line and not over/under....i may just go with the raiders for kicks, who knows. Thanks

there really isn't a good bet on this game, but anything -7.5 +100 or better is probably your best value. if you can't get better than -110 on your free play, oh well. it's a VERY marginal game no matter how you slice it.
