So hows my line here? i know that if i was going to call the flop i shouldnt have folded the turn, but i just wanted to see what he would have done. Is my fold correct? no reads.

Re: AK Help

First - I'm struggling with AK too. But here is what I think about this hand: he limped from UTG, flop is 55K is one of the best flops I can imagine for AK. I'd be aggressive on the flop and respond to his reraise on the flop with a push. KQ and KJ are likely holdings...

I think this line is alright. If the turn was a [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], an A, or a low brick, I'd be more inclined to continue with the hand. If villain is getting cute with a worse pair of kings, his most likely kicker just paired.

Tough hand. But I think you played it right.

You already figured this one out: It's raise or fold on the flop. With no reads I can make a compelling argument for either. I usually pop it back to about $20 and fold if he comes back over the top.

Asked and answered IMO.

Bet a tad more preflop. Normal PFR is $2, no? So add a limper tax to that.

Re: AK Help

Do you think it was played right on the flop? Hero pot bet the flop - could be interpreted as CB. Then showed signs of weaknes to a raise. Why not reraise on the flop? Are you afraid of 5 or KK here? May be I am missing something though.

Well, I'd agree with your thinking. Probably should have seen the river. Nonetheless, I think he’s consistently telling you he can beat your Kings up. You’re reevaluation looks good.

edit: make it $3 to go every time, PF.

Hmm, I think re-raising double isn't good. Furthermore, I don't think most villains would shove it all-in on the flop if they had the five. They'd get it in on the turn and at which point it would be incorrect to fold.

If he's limping UTG with a 5 and then calling raises I like my chances of getting my money back with interest

That's why I don't mind staying aggressive. I think you can play this hand just like you would play AA and you aren't folding AA to a raise here.
