Cut out some PP\'s from my repertoire?
 

Hey guys,

I was checking out my PT stats and I am not very good with low-medium PP's. Is it worth limping all of these at the 6max games or is it a worthwhile cut from my PF hands? My game is going fine profit and win-rate wise, but I am just curious because my stats for these hands seem subpar. And I only have ~10K hands in PT since my damn computer crashed a month or so ago, so this might just be a short-term thing. Thanks for either setting me straight or calming my nerves, whichever the case may be.

All pp's are definitely worth a limp. I normally fold 2s-4s to a raise depending on my stack size and size of raise though.

Through 50K hands my second best hand is 3-3.

I definitely think they are always worth a limp. They will hit on the flop 12.5% of the time. So if your calling a raise, make sure they have 8x the size of their raise in your stack.

I agree, however I would like to add something. They should have 8x the size of their open in your stack, and be willing to put it all in on virtually any flop where you hit your set.

For example, if the open is with 10 10, and the flop comes with overs and your set card, you probably will not get much. I think if you can outplay your opponents when you do not hit the set and there are overs, then you should be playing the small pp's (under the conditions mentioned above), but if you cannot take the pots from them when the flop looks scary and you do not hit your set, then you may want to think about just limping, and not calling opens with small pp's. I think that they are definitely worth a limp when you are in position though.

I strongly disagree. It is because people overplay hands like TP that we make so much with our sets.

I don't really think that 22-44 is significantly worse than 55-77, the only case being when the flop comes something like

KK4. Then your 7's might be good, but I'm probably not playing 22 here.

22-44 might be losing money to set over set though, and this seems like something that won't happen often, but could really skew the stats. I would continue to limp with them.

The only reason I mentioned not playing 22-44 is when it comes to you raised. I limp all pps if I can.

Hmm... I often call raises with low pocket pairs and position... seems like the most profitable time to do it.

limp em all. All PP are EV for me, most out of all positions
