Hand against somewhat tricky, bad player.

The guy likes to donkbet... both with crap and with legitimate hands. Comments on flop raise, turn bet and river check appreciated.

One bump for the daytime crowd. I thought this was interesting...

could put a donkbettor on anything on that flop... but i still think the raise is a little much. even if you are ahead, he probably has a lot of outs against you (i wouldnt be surprised if the turn spade was one). taking the bet on the turn seems fine, you fold out crappy flopped pairs much of the time (i'm always amazed when they come along, though). when he calls turn you most surely are beaten, and many times by mediocre flushes. the river straight is a nice catch against his pair/two pair.

A note about the flop raise... I was hoping to take a free card if the turn was anything other than a spade.

When the spade fell on the turn, I didn't want to check and give him license to bluff the river... so I decided to put one more bet in.

I would fold this particular flop against this particular villain.

Why? His bet is essentially meaningless, as he'd make it with utter trash or the nut flush.

Because he'll force you to put at least 2BB into the pot when your equity isn't that great against a random hand. It's basically an effective odds scenario.

Board: Ts 9s 4s

Hand 1: 57.2941 % 55.31% 01.98% { random }
Hand 2: 42.7059 % 40.73% 01.98% { AhQh }
