Paris Poker Room Opening Night

Just wanted to tell everyone the new PAris Poker Room will be open tommorrow, Sep 2. The limits will be 4-8 and above. I'll be dealing tommorrow night and throughout the weekend..Hope to see you there...

I'll give you a review of the poker room from a dealer's perspective in a few days...

Huh...is it an actual "room"? Or a roped off area near slots? I thought they just announced this thing a month or so ago...can't believe it's open so soon...

I have seen it. It's not really a room, basically they took out a blackjack pit and put in poker tables. While it might not really have "room" status, it's in a FANTASTIC location in the casino, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if it does really well. Paris is a generally nice casino to be in, I have always liked it, but it didn't have poker... But now it does!

Talked to someone who's "in" there and they said this will be a "soft" opening to get the kinks out, get employees hired and shuffled around, get people used to the idea of paris having a poker room etc etc, you know, the kind of stuff all new rooms must go through when they first open. I suspect the usual kinks that happen in new rooms on opening day, but overall I'm quite hopeful Paris will fill an unfilled poker niche on that side of the strip.

Yeah, we were pretty surprised it would open so soon. The dealers thought opening night would be the 15th, but word came out yesterday.

It's pretty exciting to be opening a new room...from a dealer's perspective.

No question there will be kinks, but in the long run I believe it'll be a successful room.

I never understood about "planned" games... It's whatever people want to play... if a place like the MGM can't get a 10-20 going (except Saturdays), then how can Paris? I'm sure it will be like Bally's, or any other smaller room...plenty of 1-2nl w/ 2/4 and 4/8...
