I don't know, I hate these spots. I always puss out and check/call, which is kinda weak.

Edit - I'll sometimes make a move like this against a tight, thinking player with a busted draw, like Q10, if I think he's capable of folding.

Question is what's this guy limping with from the button....

against this player i'm not so sure check calling isn't best. he seems aggressive enough to bet any king he has here, and maybe he will bluff with QT, and we only lose one bet to a jack.

C/C - He might bet a smaller K when checked to as well, so you may win 1 bet from a busted draw or a smaller K, and only lose 1 when he's got that J.

I don't know miles/bnortho. what about all the pocket pairs he might have?

Like 55/66? I would think the point of limping those from the button would be to see a favorable flop before you commit more money, which this defenitely isn't. But if he called you this far with one, he'll probably call 1 river bet but check it through if you check.

I don't want to let him check weak hands that he will call with, but then again I don't want to be bluffed off this big pot.
