It is definately iffy. I have 4:1 but need 4.4:1 for it actually to be for value. My thought process was that I will get more action on the river this way if I spike as my hand is a little more disquised (looks like a set). Perhaps a bad raise, but not by much.

Also, a counter point that makes my raise worse: In this type of situation, there is a large enough chance that there is another flush draw out there that I actually don't have 4.4:1.

If one of them have a set or 2-pair, which they probably do, you need much more. I think you will get less action since you raised a big field.

turn raise is pretty horrible.

the turn raise looks brilliant when you hit....what about the other 3 times you just lose money. I dont like this play because it doesn't pay for itself. when you raise with no other draws then a flush, and miss you lose. when you raise and hit you win 1-2 bets...how often does this play net you money?
