I just think there's something about the terrorist photo that makes it pretty cool and freaky.

Yeah, I voted flaming monk but the Munich one is pretty cool (in an uncool kind of way).

I think you should have written a disclaimer on your title. Some of those pictures might be too strong for some people.

The Vietnam pic of a guy with a gun to his head is better than all these. You should know what I'm talking about.

Every time I see that with any kind of caption it makes me laugh. I don't care what it says or how many times I see it.

Remember when Norm MacDonald made a joke on Weekend Update that the shooting picture was going to be a new postage stamp (because of the controversy over the Hiroshima stamp) and got booed for like 5 minutes?

mslif, if any of these images are too strong for you, I recommend staying out of OOT and the Internet as a whole for that matter.

Also, you've never seen that photo before? Have you lived in a cave your whole life?

Don't be ridiculous. I don't see crying/suffering children being posted on oot on daily basis. I have seen plenty of horrifying thing on the internet and in real life, I do not need to be preached about that. Now just writing a disclaimer is not too much asking as people write NSFW for porn. I did not say that he should not post them.

I don't really think that's the point. It's a famous photograph. I don't need to see a 50 stars and 13 stripes to understand freedom, but I'm still glad I know what an American flag looks like.

Like - I ain't gonna front. I saw this thread & expected to see some nice, arty shots of somebody's girlfriend, or maybe an amateur photo project that somebody was working on. What greets the eye? AtrocityFest '05. I was a little bummed, and it just keeps getting worse, and a slightly more informative post title would have been nice. That's all.

Actually mslif, that picture is even worse than it looks this size.

It's often seen with the girl cropped and enlarged, so that her napalm burns can be clearly seen.

The pic is credited as one of the major forces in galvanizing the American public against the Vietnam war.

In that respect, this girl's suffering averted the suffering of many other children.

Look, all I'm saying is, when you're browsing a forum that has posts on the front page titled "drugs in vegas," "another porn story" and "ass eating trip report," don't be shocked to see strong imagery when you open a thread, regardless of the subject line.

I often laugh at istewart's posts, but I believe his title should read 'viewer discretion advised'.

I voted for the terrorist pic, btw, from a purely photographic standpoint it pwns the other two.

Can't top the visceral power of that burned girl though. Now I feel like crying, and I have to go to work. [censored].
