I\'m so good, i don\'t need to see my cards!

Not sure if anyone has actually ever tried this out before, but after making another killing tonight i decided it was time to experiment. The idea was to cover my hole cards up (with a bit of paper stuck to my monitor) for the entire tournament. My strategy was to play purely on position in the early levels, then stealing blinds when i needed them later on in an attempt to "crawl" into the money. I figured i'd have a much better chance of this working in the 22s where there is at least a little bit of intelligence on the tables and the players are a bit more predicatable and less wild then at the 6s.

So what happened? Well the first one ended up badly although i think i made the right move. In L4 (50/100 blinds) i was sitting in the BB and it was folded to the SB who mini-raised me. Miraculasly, i had 950 chips, and the small blind had a similar stack. I decided to call, and the flop came AA9. The SB immeadiately bet 200, which led me to believe he didn't have an ace. I put the SB on a pocket pair or maybe had paired up his 9, so i decided my best bet was to cold call, hoping for a check on the turn. Sure enough the SB checked the turn card, so i pushed, praying to god i had an ace if Villain called. After deliberating for several seconds Villain called with TT making me look rather stupid with my 86o (was happy with my read though).

The second one was a different story. Picked up loads of uncontested pots, and played ultra aggresively from l5 onwards and came 2nd in the tourney making a net profit of $16. Never been so satisifying to win a SnG!

Am i the special one? I think so!

I would suggest everyone tries this out, as it could be very good for your game.

Yours,

This has been discussed, tried out and had side bets wedged on it long before your time here.

Sorry, you are no master on this one.

meh, I think you've gone overboard and your gimmick is starting to get slightly boring.

I'll admit, it really was funny at first, but now you're becoming redundant.

A note to whoever is behind this gimmick account: enough is enough, drop it when you're at the top and when its best to do so.

Lori,

Is TC in any way modeled after our most illustrious and intimidating STTer?

I get the feeling he's just makind stuff up now with the intention of getting a rise out of everyone. I, for one, am tired of it. It was funny at first, but now it's just lame and a waste of space. I urge everyone to stop egging him on and just ignore him from now on.
