4 handed when it is only one more to call? No. Tens don't play that great 4 handed. if there were more people, raise for set value.

cap, button has limped and not capped PF, then popped up on the flop. I don't make them for JJ-AA here, and BB may get scared and fold the flop; even if they fold AK thats a goot situation here.

Re: Play along - Pocket 10\'s (0.5/1)

if you cap now you have to lead every turn including crappy A/K ones, and you're not going to get raised unless you're beat.

call the 3bet, c/r a safe turn.

Re: Play along - Pocket 10\'s (0.5/1)

I would seriously consider folding here. BB hasn't missed a bet, even with no reads, one of them might have donked in with somethng like A5, and BB could very well have a higher PP. MAybe I'm just weak tight.

Pretty standard so far. BB 3-bet are usually not screwing around and this isn't some type of steal war.

Final Pot: 44 BB

Does anyone hate how I played this? Naturally, I was accused of 'fishing', and even afterwards I felt I should have sensed I may have been behind on the flop.

Results in white below:
X has Th Tc (full house, tens full of fives).
BB has Ad Ah (two pair, aces and fives).
Button has Qc 5h (three of a kind, fives).
Outcome: X wins 44 BB.

I fold this flop. BB has not missed an opportunity to throw money in and he HAS JJ-AA. Button call then 3 bet flop screams 5. You are not good enough here to call 2 back to you on this flop.

Oh I see, I forgot the most important aspect of this hand, Turn a 2 outer. That was the best answer.

I agree with you. Looking back I should have folded the flop. I just really wanted to gauge who would have folded this flop and who wouldn't, and how close it really is.

Re: Play along - Pocket 10\'s (0.5/1)

I see you're new, so I'll give you a couple pointers on posting. These play along type posts can generate some great discussion, but they really have to have interesting and debatable decisions on at least two streets, hopefully three, and on the off chance, four. In this case, the decision not to cap preflop isn't particularly close, and the turn and river played themselves. The flop is where your main question was anyway. When you have a hand where you have a question about just one street, mainly, you will generally get a better response by just posting the whole hand, or, better still, by posting all of the action right up until you have your important decision. You probably would have generated better discussion, and gotten the answer you wanted sooner, with a more straightforward post. Anyway, I hope you enjoy your stay on the board.

When it's two bets back to you is a pretty good spot.

Re: Play along - Pocket 10\'s (0.5/1)

This is actually a fairly easy flop fold when it's two back to back to you. Your hand is almost never good here, you're vulnerable to overcards, and it's obviously going to be expensive to get to showdown.

Re: Play along - Pocket 10\'s (0.5/1)

jba - what wookie said - when button 3-bets the flop vs. what looks like at least one overpair, i'm out.
