QJo hand from BB

Early in a live tournament blinds are 50/100 avg stack about 4000 chip leader has like 10000 or so. I have like 6000. I have villian covered by like 1000.
Preflop
Im in big blind with QJo with 4 limpers. I check.
Flop-Q87r
I bet 400 and get called by villian.
Turn-3
I bet 1000 he re-raises all-in.

Any advice aprreciated. When can I get away from this.

I would check the flop and decide later whether checkraise, check/call, fold, or bet the turn. Checking is a good way of improving your position. The board is slightly dangerous and someone good easily have a higher kicker.

I would fold to the reraise allin. You can only beat a bluff.

You're getting about 2.2-1 on the call. What's your read on the villain (if any)? Based on the information given, I don't think you're good even 30% of the time. Fold your hand.

Betting so much on the turn was a questionable move.

Read on villian is pretty weak-tight, thats why I bet so much on the turn.

That should make folding the turn even easier. Your hand (and many others like it) tend to play lousy from early position unless you hit the flop really hard. (i.e 2-pair or top-pair w/ OESD)

I did fold to the raise on the turn. I was just wondering what I could have done differently to aviod losing 1/3 of my stack and you answered that in a previous post. TY
