Modded Gaming Systems?

Is it possible to get systems that include all (or many) games of a specific system on it? I've heard that you could get Xboxes with a [censored]load of games already included on it - I don't know what types of games were included though.

Can you do that with SNES/NES/Nintendo 64/Genesis/etc. games as well? Where would you go about getting a system like that? I would be specifically looking for Super Nintendo games on a system without having to actually buy all of the games separately. And I'm not looking to get a computer emulator either - I want something to hook up to the tv.

I don't think I can answer your question but I do know that if you have enough money you can buy an xbox that looks like a network server that connects directly to the internet then you can just download the games and keep them on the hard drive. It is crazy expensive but you never have to go to the game store.

I give private lessons to a kid (for baseball) whose dad was one of the lawyers who sued Big Tobacco and made a huge amount of money and he had this system. I didn't believe him until I saw it.

You mean you'd just download the new Xbox games onto the Xbox? Or you'd download emulators onto the Xbox and download ROMs as well for the different systems?

Xboxes, PS2s and Dreamcasts can all be modded to play games from older consoles. I don't know how to do the actual modding, but the products you describe do in fact exist. Everything you need to know should be google-able.

I've tried googling - I have no idea where to start

I figure someone here can at least lead me into the right direction - the direction of degenerate video gaming!

Yeah you would just download the game straight from Microsoft onto your Xbox. Kobe Bryant had it on Cribs and then this spoiled little brat told his dad he wanted that. A phone call or two to Microsoft later he had one.

so, unless I'm reading this stuff wrong - you buy a modchip, solder it yourself, and you can import emulators/roms/etc. onto the xbox/ps2/whatever?

how do you get the emulators/roms to the ps2?

Everything you need for modding an XBOX.

Re: Modded Gaming Systems?

I'm actually more interested in modding my PS2 than an Xbox - but thanks a lot for the links - I'm learning a lot

I'm just kind of confused as to how you get emulators onto the certain systems
