anybody else\'s cardroom dead tonight?

Just got back from the Taj. The place was dead for a Friday night, with hardly any waiting lists and many 3/4 full games. I am wondering if this was a fluke, or if it is normal for business to slow down after the new year?

Thursday night the Bike was slower than usual. No waiting lists and tables were breaking up all over the place.

think it's the aftereffect of the holidays -

lots of visitors/kids drives away the regulars - then when the kids leave it takes a day or two for the regulars to come back

Laughlin cardrooms were slow last night. The ongoing bad weather in southern California is keeping the tourists away.

On a Friday night, when all ten tables are usually full with long lists at one cardroom, they only had three live games besides the tourney, and no new games as the tourney tables were breaking.

The Bike piocked up after Christmas has been a bit slow the last two nights. I think it is because of the extremely heavy rain - the commutes have been terrifying. I've witnessed two spinouts in front of me in the past three days .

Clearly, from my vantage point, they are all in Tunica.

Borgota (Sat. night) was full, with 100+ waitlists and a 4-5 hr wait for a table
