I make my standard level 1 openraise here, to 60-70. if anyone calls, this is a fine flop, although im c-betting just about any flop.

I definitely wouldn't openlimp. I save that for smaller pocket pairs, where you rely on mostly set value, and you don't mind lots of limpers.

I don't mind limping 99 at level 1, this is fold for me in this scenario though. Unless read on villain is that he's a total donk that would play A8 like this.
