what would you do... JJ preflop HU, 600NL

I just sat down to play HU with villain, who I haven't played
a ton with but overall I view as a poor, weak player who calls too much, overvalues his pairs, etc. He must be running good because he is sitting on three buyins.
3/6 blinds... First hand I am SB, I raise to 24 w/ JJ, villain pushes, I ???? Would you wait for a better spot to get your money in, or call?

IMO better spot. I worry more when a weak calling type of player does this.

maybe I mischaracterised (sp?) him... He is a weak player, but I don't have him filed into a "passive" or "aggro" category...
He just sucks, I always see him getting stacked, I saw him overcall two all ins w/ TPmK, etc. He gets aggressive at stupid times it seems like, missed flush draws that are obvious, etc.

First hand I call, far too likely he's just establishing an image thinking you won't call w/o a very good hand. If he had AA-QQ so be it.

Another thing: most poor players would be terrified that you would fold preflop if they reall held a good hand and would more likely just smoothcall or make a small 3-bet here with a real hand. I think it's just much more likely that he has strong broadway or a medium pair and figures he'll be racing at worst if called.

I'd get the money in there against this player, and most others.

I could not imagine folding JJ HU against a "sucky" player that is consistently overvaluing his hands.

I still don't like JJ, its behind too many hands pre-flop & flipping w/ AKo.

easy fold... even bad players get hands once in a while...

By too many hands, you mean exactly 3 hands right? What is the likelihood villain has AA-QQ here and does he play it like this?

If I knew villain held AK, I would instacall. The only argument I think you can make for folding here is that you can find a better spot against a crappy player and outplay him postflop.
