What to do with JJ?
 

Something similar to this...

You and the CO have slightly more than the average stack (about 40-45 BBs), and about half of the remaining field will money. You each have been playing solid poker and haven't been splashing around with junk (that is neither of you have shown down junky hands).

You have JJ in early position and raise to 3X the BB.

It is folded to the CO who raises to about 9X the BB.

What do you do?

Any help would be great.

Everything depends on the read of the player.

Does he only reraise with QQ-AA only?
Will he pay off a set?
What has he done in the past?

I can't answer this without this kind of knowledge. If 1 and 2 are yes and no then I would more likely fold.

Given the stack sizes and description, I fold.

Moving in preflop doesn't appeal to me, and odds are not there to call and flop a set. Likely to be beat. Unlikely to make much money if ahead.

First off, do not post your URL. That's a clear violation of 2+2 rules.

I would call here for two reasons. First, I would prefer to not make a precedent of raising in EP and folding to a re-raise. That's going to complicate things going forward. Second, you've got a pretty good hand. While playing for set value is marginal (you just about have the right odds) you could be easily up against AK/TT and the like.

I'd call. If I hit a set it's easy enough to play. If I flop an overpair I'll have to play it carefully as he'll probably raise even with AK. So maybe check-call and see what the turn brings. If the flop is scary then I'm happy to check-fold.
