a question about structure.

i play mostly holdem, but i lurk in this forum frequently. i've heard people on here say that the party .50/1 game is an "over ante" game. if i remember correctly, the ante in that game is .25 cents, or 25% of the big bet. at what level at party does the ante become more reasonable to the stakes?

if this is a bad question its because i havent read 7cs4ap, and i dont know any better yet

Here’s a good thread that discusses this.

Party’s $3/$6 with a $0.50 ante qualifies for Andy B’s definition of a medium ante game.

Party’s $1/$2 with a $0.25 ante would be a high ante game.

Their $1/2 game also has a $.25 ante, which is still high but not ridiculously so.

And read 7CS4AP.
