Balt. is favored by 3.5, i will prob go with them.

FWIW, Balt is 4-2 @ home, and GB is 1-6 away

Most likely Farves last monday night football appearance. Gotta think he's gonna want to go out with a bang. So i'm going with the Packers in the battle of a couple bad teams.

also, samkon gado has looked pretty good. most of green bay's rushing yards have come in the last 6 games. i hate going against the chalk, but i live near b-more, and have seen a lot of their games. the ravens look absolutely horrible. kyle boller is an int machine like favre has been, but wih no great plays to counteract them. i'm goin with the pack, but i'm not sure thats the smart move. the good news is that the passing question of this series will be easy as hell.

I think the home/away stats are too big a difference to not go with Balt.

(but I suck at sports betting)

Re: Party Football Promo - Week #2

If these questions follow the same as last week, it could be difficult. I think I will go with GB for the win because it's MNF and it's Favre.

I agree the passing should be an easy pick, it's all the rest I'm having trouble with

I'm stupid and can't find the question. I keep trying to log into the "My Account" Page and it says it will be available at 10 am, but its 4PM.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Quick question - has anyone received acknowledgement from Party that they're going to receive $50 or $100 when the promo ends?

I really hope we're not gonna have to scratch and claw to get paid from this promo.

The 2nd question.... unbelieveable! Sheesh!

Today's question..

2: Who will receive the kickoff in the game on Dec 19th
a) : Green Bay
b) : Baltimore

That is literally a coin toss! Come on, Party!...... (grrr).

Re: Question #2

I just realized something... while I already answered that question as a pure guess, Party wasn't clear, heh.

Which kickoff? Both teams will receive a kickoff no matter what (in normal realms of things like having a second half!).

Since they didn't specify "opening kickoff", perhaps we all will get this right if we wait until next week to point that out to Party.

Question 2 and still haven't received my $100 from last week.

I didn't play much yesterday so I don't get to answer the 'football knowledge' question today. LMFAO!

This is ridiculous. I thought this promotion was supposed to be for people to capitalize on their football knowledge. You can't even remotely make that argument now

Wow. Guess they are giving too much dough away. If that keeps up you can expect attendance figure questions next week.

grjr 12-15-2005 12:24 PM

Re: Question #2

I would take Green Bay on this one because there's a decent chance that even if Baltimore wins the toss they will defer to the 2nd half in order to get their defense on the field first. Plus, their defense probably has more of a chance of scoring than their offense.

I expect we will see questions like... who will use the first challenge, and who will score the first safety, where there might be no correct answer

Guess they figured out they needed to start making some moves to avoid paying out $1M. Repeat this question for seven weeks and they save quite a bit of money.

In the NFL, you can not defer your decision. You can put your defense on the field first, but that still allows for GB to receive the kickoff in the 2nd half. In college you can defer your decision.

I think the million 40/40 prize pool is meaningless... this promotion will cost Party far more than that... paying out all the $50 and $100 winners each week.

Question #3

3: Green Bay will have less than or equal to 250 passing yards in the game on Dec 19th:

For those interested... Green Bay Passing yards for prior games (in order starting from the 1st week)...

201, 342, 195, 303, 215, 329, 279, 233, 256, 227, 171, 277, 170

Question #4

4: The total combined points of both teams will be less than or equal to 43 in the game on Dec 19th:
a) : Yes
b) : No

Action Scott 12-17-2005 11:23 AM

Re: Question #4

The O/U in this game is 33, this may be the most str8 forward of the questions. Definitely better than who will receive the kickoff.

Interestingly enough, the sportsbooks have the Over/Under on this game at 33.

LOL let's hope this is true

Although the more I think about this the more I'm thinking this could be a real problem for Party. Usually when companies do these kinds of promotions (get a hole in one win a million bucks, if it snows more than 3 inches on New Years day win a car etc.) they buy insurance to cover themselves in the event that someone actually wins. I don't know if Party would have bought insurance for this promotion, but if they did then messing up this question probably just invalidated their policy. Of course it could be that putting the line at 43 instead of 33 was intentional and not a mistake.

For a company that generates as much profit as PartyPoker does, there is no way they would get an insurance policy on an amount as small as 1 million dollars.
