$25 plo8 hand analysis please

I guess my main question is can you put somebody on a straight flush on the end there? I checked the flop trying to get some action and hopefully check raise someone and with the 2 high cards I felt safer doing that. I actually thought that she might have that hand on the end but at these limits with the stupidity level fairly high I felt there was a better chance they were fighting for a low. A lot of the players at this level are terrified to bet a low till the end when they know they got it. I guess an argument can be made against the check on the flop but as long as your wary of the board pairing I think it's ok. So I guess that's it. Any analysis is welcomed. Thank You.

I don't know much about omaha hi/lo but one thing I learned the hard way is to never slow play. I would have potted this flop, you would be suprised the donks that call you with nothing. You also want to protect against running low cards which would split the pot.

I've got news for you, the person with the baby flush would probably have called anyway and hit the straight flush on the end. I think you have to lose it all this hand. Worry more about common hands than you do about straight flush vs. nut flush and quads vs. top full. The bets you miss worrying about freak hands will probably cost you more than you save when the freak hands do happen. Worry about underfulls vs overfulls and top set vs nice low/straight draws. Especially at this level where people often overplay underfulls and smallish flushes since they are recent holdem converts testing the waters.

Re: $25 plo8 hand analysis please

I have played a lot of o8 and if I would have bet they would have folded. If it had been 2 low cards on the flop then I would have pushed the flop because I would have some chasers. The players are stupid but even most of the stupid players will fold to this flop if its pushed.

I say that meaning that if I represented strength early then they would fold but if there was some ambiguity then they might think their ten high flush or baby flush is good ect. which is what I was hoping to create hoping one of them would bet late so i could push then.

Bet the [censored] flop. Why does everyone feel the need to slowplay everything when they have a big hand, no matter what game it is? I hope its not because the pros do it on the television. This is O/8, and there are 6 other players in there. I dont think youll be taking down this pot uncontested. Not to mention you have no shot at the low, which will come 2-1 of the time. Looking back at the hand, you probobly wouldnt have lost if you bet the flop.
