BB/SB Preflop play

Hey guys, anyone have any loose guidelines as to what to raise in the BB/SB?

I can't get over the terrible position and I see myself just completing from the sb with A10 and worse and checking about the same hands from the bb, although I'm a little looser from the bb.

thats a big questions and the answer depends on the following:
-position
-your table image
-opponents tables image
-stack size
-average stack size on the table
-the cards that you hold
-the type of game it is (ring, tourn, etc) and if tourn, the level

Sorry for not clarifying, This is limit HE cash I'm talking about.

Yea, of course table image will play a role, was just looking for some loose guidelines just so I know if I'm even in the right ballpark on my BB/SB preflop plays.

"some loose guidelines"

IMO there is no such thing in this game, you haven't told me how many people are in hand, how much cash you have...etc. Im not trying to be a prick here but this is fundamental and you cant make decisions without information like this. I would suggest picking up a book that covers stuff like this. Check out "Weighing The Odds in Hold Em" by King Yao, its great.

hope this helps...
